Hi, my name is Dimitra. I’m an environmental consultant spending my time between Athens, Greece and South Yorkshire, UK.
I started designing jewelry to escape from the daily work routine while creating unique and personalized pieces that I love to wear or gift to friends and loved ones.
“Walk the Talk” emerged as a creative outlet, an internal need for crafting, a playful game with myriad different components and findings. During my creative process I like trying out new things, experimenting with patterns and shapes and combining different materials. I have a special appreciation for antique silver, gold with patina and brass metals, semi-precious beads, traditional tribal amulets and religious symbols, wooden beads and anything that gives an authentic and bold look to the jewelry.
Inspiration for new designs frequently comes when I least expect it. A walk at the park, a book on native-american culture, a shape from an old geometry book. As you can see from my collection, I love combining various metal types with natural stones. I constantly strive to find high quality metal casting charms, semiprecious gem stones, beads and other fashion jewelry components from around the world.
I hope that “Walk the Talk” will allow me to communicate directly to women (...and their boyfriends) that love to wear handmade jewelry and spice up their appearance with a bit of eccentricity.
Style varies from minimalistic coin necklaces, crescents with colorful beads to large ethnic pendant necklaces.
I hope you find something you love and expresses who you really are. Don’t forget to Walk the Talk!
